Ken Foggo won the Barry Butler Memorial Trophy in 1968/69 and 1970/71.
He was born at the Royal Infirmary, Perth, Scotland on 7 November 1943.
He attended Peebles High School. He played football for Peebles Young Men’s Christian Association (as only rugby was played at his school) and played for Peeblesshire Schools. He also played for the Scottish schoolboy international teams at both football and rugby.
He was given a trial by St Johnstone and trained with Hibernian before joining West Bromwich Albion juniors in August 1959. He became a professional with them on 16 November 1960. He was an unused substitute in their League Cup Final defeat by Queen’s Park Rangers in 1967. He played in 136 League and Cup matches for them, scoring 29 goals. (Some records credit him with 30 goals.)

Signed for Norwich City
He signed for Norwich City from West Bromwich Albion on 6 October 1967 for £15,000 as shown by City’s ledgers. (City’s administrative records show his signing on 20 October.

Barry Butler Memorial Trophy
He was awarded the Barry Butler Memorial Trophy for being voted City’s ‘player of the season’ by the club’s supporters for 1968/69 and 1970/71.
On 8 May 1970 City said that he had been removed from the ‘transfer list’ at his request. He was part of City’s team that was promoted to the top division of the Football League for the first time.
On 29 December 1972 he decided not to discuss with Plymouth Argyle a proposed transfer to them from City. It was reported that the clubs had agreed on a fee of £25,000.
Transferred to Portsmouth
He was transferred from Norwich City to Portsmouth on 8 January 1973 for a fee reported as £25,000 but shown by City’s accounts ledgers as £21,000. he played in 62 League and Cup matches for them, scoring 3 goals. The ‘Eastern Daily Press’ of 6 May 1974 said they had ‘transfer listed’ him.
He was loaned from Portsmouth to Brentford on 14 July 1975 and was with them for preseason training.

He was transferred from Portsmouth to Southend United on 2 September 1975 and played in 35 League and Cup matches, scoring 6 goals.
In June 1976 he joined Chelmsford City. He remained with them until 7 June 1978. He played for Brereton Social in Staffordshire before retiring from the game in 1982.
He ran a dry cleaning business in East London.
