We are pleased to welcome to this site anyone with an interest in Norwich City Football Club’s history.
The Norwich City Football Club Historical Trust was formed in 2002 on the Club’s centenary day and is a registered charity. It undertakes to preserve objects and information relating to the Club’s heritage and history.

Building and preserving a collection of associated items requires much effort and many disciplines, but work gradually enables us to stimulate appreciation of the Club’s heritage. We are not a formal part of our football club, but we work together. The Club benefits from our work and supports the Historical Trust’s intention to establish a permanent heritage centre at Carrow Road. The two parties have signed a Memorandum of Understanding which shows their co-operating with that aim in the Club’s ground development planning.
The Historical Trust currently has four trustees: Richard Bland, James Woodrow, Rory Jackson, and Glyn Wakefield.
‘The Collection’ tab gives more information on what is being preserved. The tab for ‘The Archive’ explains our record-keeping. Both those sections of the site include a request for help. History is formed of small fragments. A corrected or additional fact or donation of a single item may help fit another piece into the jigsaw. It may be that you have some knowledge or skill which might help us. Donations are, of course, welcome. Our Trustees are all unpaid and receive no personal financial benefit from their activity, but the costs of appropriate storage and care of the collection are considerable. The ‘Contact’ tab will enable whatever you wish to tell us.
The work involved in building, storing, and documenting the collection and in recording historical detail is considerable and must be methodical. We work to appropriate standards. We have learned that we must resist the natural desire for shortcuts to sharing the material we have assembled. However, occasionally we agree to provide material on specific topics for events or publications. Some of that material will be reproduced in the ‘News and Articles’ section. Any news on our activities will will also be given there.
