Printed match tickets are increasingly rare given the widespread adoption of digital ticketing.
It’s a shame as printed tickets provide wonderful souvenirs of games that have been seen and stadiums that have been visited.
This ticket is one of the items within the collection preserved and maintained by Norwich City Football Club Historical Trust.

It is from the Canaries first ever competitive European away game against Vitesse Arnhem in the UEFA cup 1st round.
The match was played on 29 September 1993 in front of 9,133 fans and finished in a 0-0 draw.
Norwich wore their all blue away kit to avoid a clash with the home team’s yellow and black shirts.
The starting team was Gunn, Culverhouse, Bowen, Butterworth, Polston, Newman, Ekoku, Crook, Sutton, Fox and Goss. Megson replaced Ekoku after 86 minutes.
City had won the first leg at Carrow Road 3-0 so comfortably progressed to the 2nd round and a tie with Bayern Munich.
